EVAC
Elks Veterans Assistant Committee
Elks pledge: "So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them."
Throughout our great country, thousands of Elks volunteers give generously of their time, energy, and resources to serve veterans and military members each day, to ensure that pledge is not an idle one. Trough grants like the Spotlight Grant, The Beacon Grant, and The Freedom Grant, just to name a few, we connect with veterans and military members in their communities, providing them with services where they live. Our Welcome Home initiative is reaching out to some of our most vulnerable veterans: those who are experiencing homelessness.
In addition to the Grants we are awarded, we support local veteran groups and veteran families through donations we collect and the proceeds from our EVAC events, raffles and dinners which are scheduled throughout the year. You can support our EVAC by sponsoring a wreath, as a part of our Lodges Wreaths Across America Campaign. We also have Red Hooded sweatshirts, red t-shirts and matching red masks for purchase. Additionally, we have many fun events scheduled to support our veterans. We would love to see new faces at our committee meetings. The EVAC meeting is held on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm. You do not need to be a veteran to join our committee.
